Description
With its very high detectivity of up to 4.0*10^8 cm√Hz/W and a sensitivity of up to 200000 V/W, the 4-channel detector is the high end solution for demanding test applications. The detector is designed for the following gases: Water Vapor (H2O) (CWL: 6580 ± 40, HBW: ± 35 nm), Carbon Dioxide (CO2) (CWL: 4265 ± 25, HBW: 120 ± 10 nm) and alcoholic compounds (CWL: 9663 ± 80, HBW: 240 ± 40 nm). The precise measurement results are backed up by the reference channel (CWL: 3910 ± 28, HBW: 70 ± 10 nm). The pyrodetector is suitable for test setups and teaching at ambient temperatures between -20 and 85 °C.
The pyroelectric detector is characterized by the wide spectral sensitivity 2 - 15 µm (optimized from 3 - 5 µm), the high sensitivity with a modulation frequency up to 100 Hz. The low microphone effect due to the low membrane mass, the very low temperature dependence and amplified signal in current mode make the MPS4SENS TEST less sensitive to external interferences. The special micro-hybrid product design allows a higher read-out rate up to 100 Hz and short response times.
The Quad-Pyro is based on 4 chips with a ceramic-pyroelectric thin film membrane. Micro-Hybrid is the only manufacturer of pyroelectric quad detectors with a high performance membrane in a TO39 package.
