Description

The four-channel pyrodetector is optimized for gas analysis during anesthesia by four optical filters for the following gases: carbon dioxide (CO2) (CWL: 4265 ± 25, HBW: 120 ± 10 nm), nitrous oxide (N2O) (CWL: 4525 ± 20, HBW: 83 ± 6 nm), desflurane (CWL: 8224 ± 40, HBW: 240 ± 24 nm) and isoflurane (CWL: 8550 ± 40, HBW: 180 ± 18 nm). Medical, especially patient and anesthetic gas monitoring, represent typical application fields for the MPS4SENS anesthesia. The four-channel pyrodetector is particularly well suited for demanding applications in environments ranging from -20 to 85 °C.

The very high detectivity of up to 4.0*108 cmHz1/2/W as well as the very high sensitivity of up to 200000 V/W provide an extraordinary signal quality in the field of pyroelectric detectors. The quad detector is based on 4 sensor chips with a thin film CPM membrane. Thanks to the Ceramic Pyroelectrical Material (CPM) and the unique product design the detector convinces with a high read-out rate up to 100 Hz as well as with the short response time.
Additional important product features for long-term use in demanding applications: wide spectral sensitivity 2 - 15 µm (optimized from 3 - 5 µm), high sensitivity with a modulation frequency of up to 100 Hz, low microphone effect due to the low membrane mass, very low temperature dependence, amplified signal in current mode. supports the particularly high detectivity of up to 6, 27*108 cmHz1/2/W and sensitivity of up to 171 V/W. Micro-Hybrid is the only one that can handle applications with such a compact design: We are the sole manufacturer to develop and produce quad pyrodetectors in the TO39 package.
