Training with distinction!

Jury impressed by offers and commitment to young talents

For many years Micro-Hybrid Electronic GmbH has relied on the best possible training of its own junior specialists. For this the Chamber of Industry and Commerce (IHK) East Thuringia awarded the title "TOP training company" in June.

To this end, the company is actively approaching young people.  In addition to participation in the IHK-Schülercollege (Chamber of Industry and Commerce), many activities in schools in the region, at education fairs or project days in the company, the "Hauptsache Erfolg" campaign provides information about career opportunities at Micro-Hybrid. Trainees have their say on Facebook and Instagram - report on their experiences and impressions.

In addition to training for the company's own specialist needs, a lot is invested in the qualification and further training of employees. "In personnel development meetings, tailor-made goals and offers are worked out together with the employee. This includes professional as well as social and personal further training", says personnel officer Stefanie Scheiding.  Together with the Chamber of Industry and Commerce, the certificate course "Fundamentals of Electrical Engineering" was recently developed according to Micro-Hybrid's company requirements. In this way, the necessary know-how can be conveyed to career changers in a compact form. "The knowledge and skills of our employees have made us one of the technology leaders in the field of electronic microsystems," emphasizes Dr. Knuth Baumgärtel. Fringe benefits, health management, training and promotion opportunities are therefore important instruments in the company to offer attractive working conditions for long-term employee retention.

The employees themselves also become active together with the trainees. For example, they organize a company choir and other activities that show that the working atmosphere is right.

What does the code mean?

At first glance, an IR emitter product code may look like a random string of letters and numbers, hinting at size, power, or packaging. But at Micro-Hybrid, the code represents something much deeper. It encodes deliberate engineering choices - decisions about performance, environmental resilience, optical design, and long-term stability. The product code reflects a structured technology platform, not a random collection of variants.
