The Company from Hermsdorf supplies one of the world's largest manufacturers of patient monitoring systems and diagnostic equipment. The electronic components are used for various measurement purposes, such as respiratory gas analysis and temperature.

Due to the current COVID 19 pandemic and the resulting increased demand for such devices, the manufacturer's production must not be interrupted. The infrared sensors of Micro-Hybrid Electronic GmbH are an essential part of these medical devices. "In order to maintain a seamless supply chain, we must produce permanently and ship our products on a weekly basis," says Managing Director Dr. Knuth Baumgärtel.

This is a double challenge for the high-tech company, because the health and safety of the 200 employees and their families is the top priority. The immedate and adequate response to decrees issued by the state and cities is currently one of the daily challenges. The managment board works hard  to find the best solution givven to the challenging circumstances.

The company's declared aim is to make the best possible contribution to overcoming this health crisis. Both as a responsible employer and as an indispensable manufacturer of urgently needed products. The maintenance of continuous production and the continued existence of the company as a whole are top management tasks. The threat, like the shutdown of the company with all ist negative consequences, especially for the future economic activity, must be avoided at all costs.

"In addition to the expansion of shift operation, we also enable our employees to work in the home office. The extension of the company's opening hours to 24/6 is intended to ensure the greatest possible flexibility in the organisation of childcare and work", Dr. Knuth Baumgärtel explains the immediate measures of the company's internal crisis management. "We have extended existing hygiene and safety regulations. For example, we now only conduct meetings digitally. All employees are informed daily about current developments and news regarding the corona virus.
