With customized NDIR gas sensors for measuring CO₂ in demanding environments, Micro-Hybrid has established itself as a leading developer and manufacturer. Global demand for sensors that enable precise gas concentration measurement continues to grow. Across nearly all industries – particularly in medical technology, biotechnology, and mobility – the measurement of respiratory gases is becoming increasingly vital.

Producing gas sensors for carbon dioxide measurement in applications such as anesthesia or cell and tissue incubators requires advanced technology and highly skilled personnel.

Our Gas Sensor Competence Center in Hermsdorf, Germany, is equipped with state-of-the-art know-how, future-oriented manufacturing technologies, and all relevant quality assurance standards.

Production Coordinator Anna Taubert:

„What sets us apart is not the mass production of simple sensors, but the manufacturing of high-quality gas sensors developed in close collaboration between our engineers and the customer.“

Investments Securing Capacity for Growing Demand

Through extensive investments, we have modernized our production processes and expanded our capacity. This enables us to implement fully customized gas sensor solutions for a wide range of applications. In Hermsdorf, comprehensive modernization and strategic investments have been made with the goal of significantly increasing production volumes. The measures include:

  1. Diversification of production steps for improved efficiency
  2. Optimization of production coordination and product development
  3. Modernization and expansion of the machinery to increase production capacity
  4. Reorganization of personnel resources for higher efficiency

Director of Production Steve Körbs:

"We’ve created a production area specifically tailored to gas sensor manufacturing, achieving a 100% increase in production capacity.“

Expansion and Optimization Completed – 100% Increase in Output

Micro-Hybrid’s Director of Production, Steve Körbs, played a key role in the planning and implementation of the gas sensor division. The complete modernization has been successfully completed, and the production capacity remains ready for further expansion.
