Technology Partner India - Micro-Hybrid on a Delegation Trip
Seven cooperation agreements, a five-year partnership between Thuringia and Telangana, and new access to one of India’s most dynamic technology hubs. The Thuringian delegation’s visit has laid the groundwork for closer economic cooperation. For us, this marks the beginning of a crucial phase, as these new contacts are expected to lead to concrete projects in sensor technology and reliable electronics.

Why India Is Strategically Important to Us
India aims to expand its industrial value creation and is making targeted investments in technology, research, and modern manufacturing. This is driving growing demand for precision sensors, reliable electronics, and application-specific solutions.
This presents concrete opportunities for us. Our expertise ranges from infrared components, gas sensors, and inertial sensors to the development and manufacture of custom electronics. This broad spectrum enables us to address a variety of requirements regarding measurement tasks, operating environments, and system integration - all from a single source.
Particularly relevant are industries such as medical technology, industrial process measurement, environmental technology, energy, mobility, and aerospace. In these areas, India’s industrial ambitions align with technologies we are already using today to support demanding applications.
New Approaches to Business and Research
The delegation, led by Thuringia’s Minister President Mario Voigt, brought some 60 representatives from the worlds of politics, business, and academia to New Delhi, Hyderabad, and Bengaluru. A key outcome is the five-year partnership between Thuringia and the state of Telangana. It establishes a framework for business cooperation, technology transfer, and joint research projects. Thuringia’s new presence at the T Hub in Hyderabad also provides ongoing access to companies, research institutions, and young technology startups.
Such structures are particularly important for small and medium-sized enterprises because entering a new market does not depend solely on having the right technology. Equally crucial are reliable contacts, knowledge of local decision-making processes, and access to the right partners.
For us, therefore, the most important outcome of the trip is not the number of meetings held. What matters most is that new avenues to companies, institutions, and technology networks have opened up.
Where we see concrete potential
A key item on the agenda was the visit to the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology in New Delhi. The discussions highlighted the interest in technological cooperation, local value creation, and long-term industrial partnerships.
This opens up various potential areas of application for our technologies. Industrial processes require robust sensors to monitor gases, temperatures, motion, and plant conditions. In medical technology, the demand for compact and reliable components is growing. Energy and environmental technology require precise measurement systems for emissions and gas concentrations. In mobility as well as aerospace, acceleration, tilt, and motion must be reliably measured even under demanding conditions.
Our strength lies in combining these sensor solutions with our own manufacturing expertise. These include LTCC, thick-film technology, SMD assembly, as well as chip and wire bonding. This enables us not only to supply individual components but also to support customer-specific solutions from development through to series production.
Contacts Should Turn into Projects
Senior Key Account Manager Heiko Richter represented Micro-Hybrid as part of the delegation. His task was to identify potential areas of cooperation, understand technological requirements, and establish solid contacts.
After the official delegation program concluded, the trip continued with further discussions in Pune and Bengaluru. The next step will be to evaluate the contacts made, coordinate specific requirements with our product and development teams, and pursue suitable projects.
“India is not just a market. It is a partner for long-term growth. Technology creates opportunities. Trust creates partnerships.” Heiko Richter, Senior Key Account Manager
This conclusion also sums up our mission. Technological expertise opens doors. However, lasting business relationships are built only through reliability, mutual understanding, and continuous dialogue.

The next step will be decisive
The delegation trip did not open up a ready-made market for us. However, it did lay the groundwork for three key prerequisites: improved access, a clearer understanding of the market’s potential, and initial, solid connections with potential partners.
The next step is to prioritize applications with genuine technological added value and to develop joint projects based on these initial discussions. Further trips, face-to-face meetings, and trade shows in India will play an important role in this process.
